Life Goal Unlocked: The Blacksmith’s Boy Launch Party!

Copies of The Blacksmith's Boy novel on the counter at Scuppernong Books in downtown Greensboro

There have been several cool moments on my writing journey. Finishing the manuscript for my first novel (after quitting three times). Signing a contract with Wild Ink Publishing. Holding my book in my hands.

On August 29, I had another of those magical moments–the book launch parth for The Blacksmith’s Boy. The event took place at Scuppernong Books, a wonderful indie bookstore in downtown Greensboro. I’ve been to other author events at Scuppernong and it was my first choice for a launch party, So grateful they agreed to host!

After reading a passage (where the band of heroes is on the road to Osoh Creek to investigate the Blight), I took some questions and signed a bunch of books. Amy brought these amazing cupcakes with the book’s cover in fondant.

We had a good turnout, and sold out the store’s allotment of books!
