My Big News: THE GOTH GIRL WHO SAVED THE WORLD, 3 More YA Romantasies, Coming Soon!

Okay, I’ve been sitting on this for a while. It’s been in the works for a long time, but to me at least, it’s been worth all the waiting and uncertainty.

(Deep breath…) I have signed a four-book Young Adult romantasy series with the Totally Entwined Group. It all kicks off in February 2027 with THE GOTH GIRL WHO SAVED THE WORLD, Book 1 of The Goth Girl Series.

Charlotte Sumner loves 1980s post-punk music—high school, not so much. The timid 16-year-old retreats to her bedroom to listen to gloomy bands that echo her loneliness. But while working her after-school library job, new classmate Ian Morris alt-rocks Charlotte’s world. Not only is Ian a good witch, but an evil coven operates at the school—and they plan to summon a demon king!

Who is behind the mysterious coven? What secrets are Ian hiding? Most importantly, how does Charlotte save her loved ones?

Well, at least she’s got good music to listen to on her way to the apocalypse.

THE GOTH GIRL WHO SAVED THE WORLD is a witchy 1980s nostalgic high school adventure fueled by music from The Cure, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshees and more.

Music isn’t just Charlotte’s passion—her favorite songs intertwine with her soul (literally!) THE GOTH GIRL WHO SAVED THE WORLD is a love letter to that point in life when music meant EVERYTHING. When you listened to a song and thought it must’ve been written for you, because it captured the confusing, often contradictory emotions swirling in your teenage brain. Charlotte is every kid—past or current—whose life was saved by music.

Subsequent books in the series will follow Charlotte’s future adventures (provided she survives Book 1, of course!) I’m well underway writing Book 2, and it’s been so much fun to reconnect with these characters.
